Heritage and Innovation
70 Years of Sound & Vision
Our journey began in 1953 when Raymond and Mary Dicker established their Radio Shop at 49, Main Street Bray. Having qualified as a Television Engineer in 1952, Raymond Dicker quickly established the Business as the ‘Go To’ for Radio & Television.
By 1958 Dickers had moved to New Premises, buying 18, Main Street – ‘the Centre of Bray’
Early Contributions
Public Address Sound was one of the services supplied during early events like the Bray Cove Swimming Galas, An Tostal Festival, Greystones Regatta, and Equestrian events.
Technological Pioneers
Ray Dicker, a qualified Television Engineer since 1952, led the way by offering Television Rentals & Sales almost a decade before Ireland had its own Television Station.
Vintage Collection
Preserving our heritage, we hold Ireland’s largest stock of Vintage Televisions, Radios, and Vintage Tannoy. These items are available for hire to Designers, Art Departments, and Prop buyers for film production, with credits including ‘Ballykissangel’ (BBC TV) and ‘All Is By My Side’ (J. Hendrix Film).
